Jewellery Care and Maintenance Guide

MARTELLATO jewellery is designed to last, maintaining its unique texture and distinctive, essential elegance.
To preserve its brilliance and integrity, please follow these simple care instructions.

1. Gentle daily cleaning

After use, wipe the jewellery with a soft, dry cloth.
This removes skin residue, sweat, or body products and keeps the hammered surface bright and defined.

2. Avoid prolonged contact with aggressive substances

316L steel is highly resistant, but to keep it in the best condition, avoid direct and continuous exposure to:

  • perfumes

  • body creams

  • alcohol-based lotions

  • harsh detergents

  • saltwater or chlorinated water

These substances do not damage the metal, but they can reduce its aesthetic brilliance in the long run.

3. You can wear them in the shower (but not always)

316L steel does not rust or discolour, but daily use in the shower can accelerate the build-up of limescale or residue.

Premium tip:
Feel free to wear them, but remove them when using shampoo or very oily products.

4. Proper storage

Every MARTELLATO jewel should rest in a protected place:

  • in its hammered rigid box

  • or in a separate soft cloth

Avoiding direct contact with other metals prevents micro-abrasions and maintains a uniform texture.

5. Resistance and durability

316L steel is known for its:

  • water resistance

  • corrosion resistance

  • hypoallergenic properties

  • stable colour over time

The hammered texture is designed to withstand signs of wear and maintain its exclusive aesthetic identity.

6. Caution during sports

Sweat does not damage 316L steel, but strong impacts or abrasions can reduce the texture's definition.
We recommend removing jewellery during:

  • weight training

  • contact sports

  • use of metal equipment

Each MARTELLATO piece is created to accompany you daily, without losing its intensity.
Minimal but consistent care will ensure your jewellery is always clean, defined, and ready to express your style.
